Linda Chen '23
Linda Chen (firstname.lastname@example.org) is a sophomore from New York planning on majoring in Political Science with a potential minor in English. On-campus, she works with the SGA Committee on Sustainability to create sustainable development initiatives, is a campus-ambassador for The Women's Network, and recently joined Matriculate's team of Advising Fellows, an organization focused on supporting and empowering high-achieving, low-income high school students with the college application process. She is passionate about nonprofit work, especially at the grassroots level, and has previously worked with several local NGOs in her community. When she has a moment to spare, Linda can be spotted doodling on the Barnard lawn (or just any place with grass), playing tennis in Riverside Park, or editing her Spotify playlists!
Christina Graham '23
Christina Graham (email@example.com) is a sophomore studying Sociology and Hellenic studies. She is from San Francisco, California! Christina is an Business Associate for The Columbia Daily Spectator, and is also a tutor and college counselor. She loves studying the sociology of education, as well as education policy. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her friends, cook, and play music!
Sophia Houdaigui '21
Sophia Houdaigui (firstname.lastname@example.org) is a senior studying History with a concentration in the Middle East and the United States. She is from Mclean, Virginia. Sophia is the President of Columbia Musical Theatre Society, the director of The 126th Annual Varsity Show, writes for the Columbia Political Review, and is an active member of Delta Gamma sorority. She is passionate about the intersection of politics, law, and international affairs.
Julia Hyman '22
Julia Hyman (email@example.com) is a junior majoring in Urban Studies with a concentration in Sociology. She is from Guilford, Connecticut and enjoys hiking and spending time in her hammock. On-campus, she is a costume designer for The 126th Annual Varsity Show, a setter for the Club Volleyball team, and a mentor for local high school students through the MyNYC program. In her spare time, she can be found cooking with friends or trying to learn how to skateboard in Riverside Park.
Annabel Kelly '22
Annabel Kelly (firstname.lastname@example.org) is a junior from Katonah, New York majoring in Political Science. On-campus, she is an editor for the Columbia Political Review, a dancer in Orchesis, and part of Peer Health Exchange where she teaches workshops on health and wellbeing for Manhattan high schoolers. In her free time, she can be found at a yoga class or trying out a new restaurant around the city.
Zakiya Lakha '21
Zakiya Lakha (email@example.com) is a senior majoring in Religion with a concentration in Islam. On-campus she is also a part of the Athena Digital Design Agency which empowers Barnard students to learn how to code, and she is on the Junior class council. Off-campus, Zakiya usually works at an internship. She has previously worked on a tech team at a staffing firm. In her free time, Zakiya loves to procrastinate by watching Netflix, and she's constantly wishing to travel. Zakiya is studying abroad in spring 2020.
Madeleine Morales '22
Madeleine Morales (firstname.lastname@example.org) is a junior who intends on studying Political Science and Spanish & Latin American Studies. She most recently hails from Cincinnati, Ohio, but has also lived in New Jersey and Texas. Madeleine is a Columbia University Cheerleader, member of Kappa Alpha Theta, Mixed Heritage Society, and Women In Law and Politics Society. When not involved in campus life, Madeleine can be found at SoulCycle or calling home to chat with her family. She spent the past summer interning at The Fleischer Law Firm and is currently interning under the Women’s Initiative program at Proskauer & Rose LLP.
Dipashreya Sur '23
Dipashreya Sur (email@example.com) is a sophomore potentially majoring in Architecture with a concentration in Mathematics. On-Campus, she dances with Columbia Taal an Indian Classical Dance Team, builds websites with the Athena Digital Design Agency, and volunteers with the Community Lunch Soup Kitchen on Fridays. She is very passionate about dance and tries to take a new dance class every semester at Barnard. So far she has taken Dances of India and Afro-Cuban Dance. In her spare time, she can be found editing pictures on VSCO for her food Instagram or relaxing by drawing in her sketchbook.
Yunxiao Cherrie Zheng '21
Yunxiao Cherrie Zheng (firstname.lastname@example.org) is a senior majoring in Economics, and potentially minoring in Environmental Science and Psychology. She is from Beijing! Cherrie is a photographer for the Columbia Daily Spectator and the secretary of She’s the First Barnard/Columbia, an NGO aiming to help girls in impoverished areas gain higher education. Interested in performing arts, she has worked on Addams’ Family and Spring Awakening with Columbia Musical Theater Society. You can also find Cherrie in all kinds of fun but not too advanced dance classes, and she is in Orchesis this semester! She loves running at Riverside Park, and once in a while, she will travel to the edge of Upper Manhattan for tennis.
