Alexandra Ruiz-Olivo is a seasoned leader with experience launching programs and companies. Currently, she is building Poder Capital, a tech company that unlocks capital for Latinx Entrepreneurs and Small Business Owners. She also leads a consulting practice that supports clients in creating equity-focused programs/services/products.
She has 15+ years of experience in government, nonprofit management, and media. Most recently, she served at the NYC Vaccine Command Center and Co-Chaired the NYC Task Force on Racial Inclusion & Equity's Vaccine Equity Committee. As Executive Director of Programs at the NYC Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs, she led a team of 20+ program experts in creating innovative service interventions and campaigns that have served over 200,000 immigrant New Yorkers.
Alexandra completed her Master’s in American History at CUNY Queens College, where she focused on the history of inequality in the U.S. She also holds an Executive Master’s in Business Administration from Brown University and IE Business School.
