Ranjani Chakraborty is a Brooklyn-based visual storyteller whose work focuses on race, gender, history, and the environment. She was a lead video producer on the Vox video team, and the host & creator behind the short historical documentary series Missing Chapter. This work, which centers on the overlooked or intentionally erased histories of marginalized communities, has been recognized by the News & Documentary Emmys and the Online Journalism Awards.
Ranjani has spent more than a decade reporting, writing, video editing and animating short and long-form nonfiction content. Prior to Vox, she produced at organizations including ProPublica, National Geographic, Al Jazeera America, and NBC News. She’s a Houston native and a graduate of Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism.
