The Global Summer Fellowship
Fellowship Program for two current Barnard College students in their sophomore or junior year to work in organizations affiliated with the Council of Women World Leaders, including Council Members, Council Advisory Group Members, and other organizations. The fellowships are intended to provide unique exposure to women's leadership in a global context. The Fellowships last a minimum of 10 weeks. Through a highly competitive process, once selected, Fellows finalize their specific dates with the site supervisor where they will be working. The Athena Center for Leadership Studies will connect the selected Felllows with the site supervisors and stay in contact with both the Fellows and the site to assist with communications and planning. Students will receive a $4000 stipend. Funding will also be provided for housing and coach travel expenses with the approval of the Athena Center.
2018 Global Fellows will intern at:
- Office of H.E. Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, President of Malta
- Split between two locations: Camfed International in Cambridge, UK and Camfed Canada in Toronto
