Power Talk with Athena Distinguished Fellow and former President of the National Council for Research on Women

April 14, 2015
Sulzberger Parlor, 3rd Floor of Barnard Hall

Linda Basch, a 2014 Athena Distinguished Fellow, joins us for a lively discussion of women’s leadership. Basch has led teams in a number of diverse settings, from higher education to the United Nations to the non-profit sector. An anthropologist by training, Linda worked as a research director at the United Nations, where she focused on social and economic development. Later in her career, Basch served as president of the National Council for Research on Women (NCRM), where she worked to shape a research and advocacy agenda aimed at gaining rights and opportunities for women and girls, advancing women’s leadership, and creating policy change. Currently, Basch has stepped down from NCRW to become an Advanced Leadership Fellow at Harvard University, while also training to become an executive coach to high potential leaders, eager to develop their skills, to leaders in career transition, and to leaders of nonprofit organizations.
